I can think of hundreds of reasons not to show up: - You aren’t fit enough - You aren’t flexible enough - It’s too hot - It’s too cold - You’ve trained a lot recently - You haven’t trained enough recently - Work has been busy - Work has been quiet - You needed a drink after work - You didn’t leave work early enough - You’ve been at work all day - You might not finish near the top of the board - You needed a lie in - You might have to run or do burpees or cardio or something… - You needed some “me time” - You tweaked your elbow playing golf - You didn’t eat well enough over the weekend - You got blackout drunk on Saturday - It might be a prowler workout - You trained yesterday - You haven’t trained this month, you’ll start up again next month - That series that all the cool people are talking about is on - I hate crab walks, and there’s always f***ing crab walks in the warm up… - So on and so forth… - Etc, etc…
All great reasons to not show up.
Unfortunately your health, fitness and personal goals do not care.
You want abs? Come and get it.
You want a triple bodyweight deadlift? Come and get it.
Whatever it is, come and f***ing get it.
