If Double Unders are high skill for you, you need to make a decision…
1. Either try to get as many rounds as possible with sloppy, energy wasting form 2. Get your s*** together before you start the Double Unders and execute them all perfectly [3. Do Single Unders this time and practice Double Unders in Open Gym]
There likely won’t be much difference between the scores, but those who choose option 2 will have a lower perceived rate of exertion and experience far greater long term progress by accumulating more good reps than bad ones.
Those who choose option 1 will probably end up on a CrossFit fails video on youtube at some point in the near future…
[Option 3 is for those very new to Double Unders and wouldn't be performing them as part of a WoD anyway...]
Here’s another knowledge bomb.
No one cares what your score was that day apart from you, and you [should] care a whole lot more about your long term progress.
If it is high skill for you at this time, take a chill pill, control your breathing, and just practice…
If it is low skill, get after it.
