I was introduced to Crossfit whilst on deployment as a Royal Marines Commando. One of the lads attached to my team had a load of copies of the Crossfit journal on his hard drive; I read them in one sitting. The next day, I performed ‘Cindy’ and from then on I was hooked. Since leaving the Marines I have trained, interned, coached and drank in numerous places and facilities across the globe. I have worked with people from all walks of life - people of all ages, from different cultures, with various abilities and needs, in numerous different fields and pursuits.
I will read anything and everything on the subject of exercise science and nutrition, because I’m just incredibly, incredibly cool...

I previously came from a running and swimming background, with half marathons being my preferred distance. I had always wanted to try weightlifting, but felt intimidated by the free weight area in the gym and the lack of actual coaching to guide me.
I started CrossFit in 2010 and was hooked straight away. Within my first month of training, I competed at the Divided We Fall Games in Swansea. Having never experienced such an overwhelming sense of community and team spirit, I knew from very early on that I wanted to transition this passion and excitement into becoming a CrossFit trainer myself, and one day, be a box owner.
From training competitive athletes, to clients with various health and mobility issues, I thoroughly enjoy the variety and daily challenges of helping people be at their physical best and improving their quality of life.
